More December Yarnbombing

As suspected, the yarnbombing exhibit in the square was installed by Radical Craft Adelaide on the 5 December 2012. The group's Facebook page has more photos and photo albums of this installation and others.

Christmas Eve Yarnbombing


Christmas Eve is here, and I celebrated by going into the city to see the lights and sights. Most of the public buildings such as the town hall were adorned with bunting and lights, while the trees lining the main thoroughfares twinkled with fairy lights. Very pretty. The weather was mild and many people were out and about, yet the city was still quiet with a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the best things about Christmas is the opportunity to catch up with friends and family. It's been a busy week of preparations, punctuated by joyful interludes with welcome visitors, the delivery of newsy letters from faraway friends and many phone calls with long-overdue chats.

Big Ambitions to Meet Crochet Targets



As the end of 2012 approaches, it's a good time to stop and reflect on the past year. This year was the first time I had ever deliberated about my crochet goals with a timeline in mind and actually committed them to paper. As if that wasn't enough challenge, I posted my list in online crochet forums so now there was no escape–I had to be accountable in twelve months' time too! Scary? Nervewracking?  Plain silly perhaps?
