Colour: a Strange and Wonderful Thing

Colour can be a strange and wonderful thing.

It was a colour adventure during the creation of the Woodland scarf.

G'day and welcome to Lupey Loops, especially to many new visitors recently.  I appreciate very much that you take time to say hello and share your thoughts.

I love hearing from my online friends.  You can find me on Ravelry, Google+, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest too, or email jodiebodiecrochets@gmail.com.

No new finished crochet projects to share today but an update on my week, WIP* and new bits and pieces around the blog and  garden.

Adelaide Stitches & Craft Show

Rounded enamelled badge with the rounded logo which says "The Stitches & CRAFT SHOW Est. 1987"
This badge was given to me
when I collected my ticket.
After a short break from the online world, and with renewed vigor, I am here to tell you about the current Stitches & Craft Show in Adelaide,  South Australia.

You have 1 more day (today) to visit the Wayville Showgrounds and enjoy some crafty goodness. The show started on Thursday and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily until Saturday 9 May 2015.

Waking up with extreme tiredness and flaring symptoms, Thursday was not the best of mornings but I persevered and was rewarded with a happy day and some photographs.

Method to the Mohair

"Sweet Pea Shawl" crocheted with Moda Vera 'Sentiments Sparkle'
(12% mohair, 12% wool, 72% acrylic, 4% metallic)
Pattern designed by Amie Hirtes (www.nexstitch.com)
Mohair.

Natural fibre,
Ethereal drape,
Mysterious halo,
Adds texture to shape.

Warming wisps,
Catching the air,
Perfectly light*,
But cosy to wear.

Fuzzy and warm,
Bulky or fine,
Soft but not scratchy,
Such blends are divine.

First of the Autumn Scarves

At last! The first three scarves of Autumn 2014 are finished and ready to greet the world.

Some took longer than others, but I am proud of my self-designed silk mohair scarves.
