Sad

a close up of two bunny front feet, orange legs and chest wit white socks.
Beautiful bunny feet.
(20 February 2016)

It is a very sad morning at my house.
My family and I are waking up to an empty house because darling young bunny Max had an emergency dash to the Animal hospital  overnight.

Pattern & Rhyme Bunny Style

Side view of tri-colour Dutch bunny in front of wooden and wire hutch. Bunny is facing towards the left with a piece of hay sticking out of his mouth.
Max finishes off a piece of hay.
Hay!

Max loves eating hay.
He loves nibbling on all sorts of things which prompted a little rhyme and a list of bunny-themed crochet patterns.

New Year Thoughts as We Head into 2016

Max, a tri-colour Dutch bunny (black, white and orange) reclining on a concrete path.
Baby Max, only 9 weeks of age.
I am sitting here, reading blogs at the breakfast table while bunny sits underneath my chair nudging my feet with his nose and tugging at my pajama bottoms.  'Let's play!' Max urges as I stroke him gently with my bare feet.

Meanwhile, I am enjoying the Happy New Year wishes being disseminated across the blogosphere and wishing you a Happy New Year too!

Procrastinate Now!

The top strap section of a tea towel top worked in a plum colour.
Almost finished tea towel top!
The school term has finished and I'm settling into a more relaxed pace with more time to crochet but I have to ask myself, "If I want to get the crocheted projects done in time for Christmas Day, why am I getting out the sewing machine?"

A Quick WIP Round

The last month has been extremely hectic around here so if you haven't seen me online for a while, it is because I haven't been online for a while.  I 'ditched' the computer and got busy.

Dutch Mandala #MandalasForWink #MandalasForMarinke

Two resin model bunnies flank the mandala made in Dutch colours: orange, red, white and blue. Rings of red cluster stitches represent tulips with a touch of green beneath them for the foliage.

These two Dutch bunnies hopped across their shelf today to discover my tribute to Dutch crochet designer and author, Marinke Slump, also known as 'Wink' from the blog A Creative Being.

Smokey

When I joined Ravelry, I stated on my profile page that "I want to learn to spin my bunny's fur into angora yarn".  To that end, every time Smokey Bunny moulted, we collected his long, soft fibres of fur.
