That’s how it feels around Lupey Loops at the moment, in more ways than one because I’ve either been physically out (not at home) or I’ve been so tired and addled with brainfog (from being out and about) that I’ve felt like “the lights are on but nobody’s home” in my head!

When I think of "Needles and Pins", I think of the 60s song by The Searchers  which was a hit again in the 70s when it was recorded by Smokie.  The song was written by Sonny Bono and Jack Nitzsche and it doesn't seem to matter who records it, it always sounds great because it has a catchy 'hook'.

Isn't it funny how all three words can be used in the same sentence with different meanings?

What a busy month August 2016 has been!

I'm not sure if it was a month of productivity or stupidity because there was so much going on. Some was forced upon me but much was of my own making.

Fashioning the Fab Four (Part 13): Take a Bow

The Fab Four come out on stage and take a bow (the kind that rhymes with 'cow') but before they can perform properly, they need to remove that bow (the kind that rhymes with 'tow' or 'toe') - but not the horsehair kind used for playing violas (the musical instruments, not the flowers).

The bass drum was easy enough and quick to make;   the snare drum was next!

Do you like amigurumi? I have made many amigurumi and other little toys. I like them because they are quick, easy and cheerful. In 2012, these mirthful 'mop tops' captivated my crochet hooks and sparked my spirits but they were unlike any amigurumi I had ever done before.

The 'Fab' Reason

These guys are the catalyst for commencing this blog. They have taken a good portion of the year to complete, together with their instruments and display home.
