Knitting & Crochet Blog Week 2014: It's Coming!

Eskimimi's Fifth Annual Knitting & Crochet Blog Week is coming soon. More information is here.

Last Year's Experience

I participated in the Knitting & Crochet Blog Week for the first time last year (during my first year of blogging) in order to challenge myself and extend my blog-learning and develop new skills whilst meeting other bloggers who are interested in crochet and knitting crafts.

It was very challenging to write an entry every day for a week and I learned a lot but the most fun was sharing new ideas and getting to know other bloggers.  It is fascinating to discover an endless variety of interpretations of each task put to us.  Receiving comments and feedback from others whilst doing the same for others and asking questions etc. was a very valuable experience.

If 2013's experience was anything to go by, I heartily recommend participation in this year's Knitting & Crochet Blog Week.

More Information

To find out more, please visit Eskimimi Makes' Knitting & Blog Week V Launch Page at:

Post tags allow participants to easily find each others' blog posts according to specific day and topic.  This year's tags follow the same format as last year and I have reposted them above for quick reference.

If you are new to the Knitting & Crochet Blog Week I recommend reading Eskimimi's post about how they work:

If you would like to see posts from last year's blogging participants, type 4KCBWDAY into your search engine and add the numbers from 1-7 on the end; e.g. search for the tag 4KCBWDAY1 for all the posts from 2013's first day's challenge.  (Find more information on last year's tags here
http://lupeyloops.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/knitting-crochet-blog-week-2013-how-to.html and from there you will also find a link to Eskimimi's tag information from 2013.)

  3. Oh! :-) That's great that you are participating. I look forward to seeing your posts and sharing the fun.
I have just discovered the topics for this year:

I feel a little daunted by the creative writing aspects of some topics but it's all about the challenge and getting out of one's comfort zone. I am concerned that some of the challenges might be too time-consuming but that's usually the way with new things. With a bit of practice, with photography for example, things do get quicker. The Knitting & Crochet Blog Week is a great catalyst for developing new skills.
