2013: Success or Failure?

So I failed to achieve 7 out of 10 crochet goals for 2013. On the other hand, I achieved a lot of other things.

Considering that I put my hooks down on 10 December 2013, I managed to complete 42 projects in 49 weeks! Here’s a pictorial summary.

  1. That's an impressive number of projects. I was particularly impressed that you managed to yarn bomb that entire sculpture. ;) LOL

I've currently hit a snag with my crochet. I am using Moda Vera Noir sock yarn to crochet a jumper and finished the ball I was using, went to hunt for the next ball only to discover I didn't have any more. Went to Spotty and aaaargggghhhh they didn't have any Noir at all. I'm hoping it comes back on the shelves because I don't really relish frogging the hours of work that have gone into it so far.

    1. Well, I didn't yarnbomb the entire sculpture by myself - I had a little help you know! ;-)
Thanks for the heads-up on the Noir. I used that for the fingerless mitts (did you recognise it in the pictures?) I hope it hasn't been discontinued. I haven't been yarn shopping for ages so I cannot tell you whether it is currently in stock at my local outlet, but next time I go, I will certainly have a look. What colour/dyelot are you after?

    2. I'm certainly hoping it comes back as it seemed to be one of their regular lines. My aunt is going to check her local store too, but it would be great if you could check yours next time you are in there. I've even checked ebay without any luck. I'm using the blue blend which looks almost black in some places.

    3. I went into my local outlet today and was told that they don't stock Noir anymore. The fellow that served me was unable to tell me whether it would be coming back this season or whether there is a sock-yarn equivalent. What a disappointment.
